About Us.....

Ownership.

  • Harold Leopold Wattrus, BSc Survey.
  • Completed BSc Land Survey at The University of Natal in 1978.
  • Registered as Professional Land Surveyor in 1980 after served articles with Amoils and Mounton and written Property Law Exams set by the Surveyor Generals Office.
  • Established my Private practice in 1984.


  • Grant Reid, BSc Survey.
  • Completed BSc Land Survey at The University of Natal in 1999.
  • Registered as Professional Land Surveyor in 2001 after having served articles with Krichoff and Associates and written Property Law Exams set by the Surveyor Generals Office.
  • Became partner in this practice in 2009.

All staff members have several years of experience.

The firm is also association with Registered Land Surveyor Theo Van Goeverden, which enables us to have eight Surveyors in the field when necessary.

Equipment.

The firm has three Global Positioning Systems, four Total Station Theodolites and two Robotic Theodolites. It also has up to date computers and the latest software for the calculation of data and preparation of plans.

The practice is non - racist and non sexist, and supports efforts to address imbalances of the poor from time to time assisted historically disadvantaged individuals, both with in house training and assistance in starting their own practices.

Geological Location.

Although the practice is situated in Saxonwold, Johannesburg, survey work has been undertaken countrywide and internationally with jobs done in Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mauritius, Ghana & Tanzania.

Dealings with local authorities and government departments:

This practice has done vast amounts of Survey work for Rand Water Board and The Department of Water Affairs and Forestry. It also worked extensively on work instructed by then Sandton and Johannesburg Municipalities, such as servitudes, road closures, park closures, etc.

Achievements

The firm was rated the second best firm of Land Surveyors for the year 2000 by professional Management Review Publication. The rating was determined by interviewing 70 contractors and 40 property developers.
